Mind: Volume 1

The whole world is an experience of Mind or we can say the Mind experiences the whole world.

To understand Mind, we have to understand the different layers of Mind which are primarily divided into two parts. For a general understanding we can call these two parts as “Dynamic Mind state” and “Still Mind state”.

Thoughts are always created in Dynamic Mind state, which is the state in which Mind rushes from one thought to another. That is why Himalayan Masters have always compared Mind with a restless monkey, always jumping from one tree to another.

In this example, each tree is like a thought, monkey symbolizes the restless Mind and the act of jumping from one tree to another is the habit which monkey follows .

If we go deep and analyze carefully, we will realize that each thought is dependant on our attention. In other words thoughts are energy vacuums and they always need attention. They keep absorbing the energy of “attention”.

The question which comes next is how do the thoughts do what they do. The answer lies in the power of creation which attaches a sense of identification of the person using the “I” with the subject of the thought.

The “attachment” to the “thought” gives it the power to create all range of actions at mental and physical level.

This power of “attention” once given to a thought creates a whole new world, which can touch extremity of either havoc or heaven depending on what choice the “thinker” makes.

Such a strong ability of mind “to think” is what has to be controlled by the Human consciousness.

Human beings will benefit a lot if they learn to control the Mind. Great thinkers & Philosophers from all parts of the world have done their part in spreading the message of Mind-control and it’s ability to change the world for good or evil.

Mind takes the form of the object on which it remains focussed for certain duration of time. If it focusses on an object, it becomes one with that object. If it focusses on a color, it becomes that color. If it attaches itself to a smell, it takes form of that smell.

Similarly it connects to all the sensory experiences and becomes those in that moment of connection.

Mind through it’s connection to the five senses of smell, taste, touch, sight and sound experiences the whole world.

These sensory experiences are gathered through the body cells and through the medium of neurons in the brain, they are experienced in mind as sensations ranging from pleasure to pain.

These sensations experienced in Mind create shock waves in the Human consciousness depending on the intensity of the individual experience. The more intense an experience, the greater is it’s ability to create a shock wave in the consciousness. These shock waves are remembered by the Mind and are used time and again when a matching opportunity arises.

The sudden responses a human goes through in the form of ‘instinct’ are precisely the ones which are developed through these streams of experiences. That is why it has also been said time and again that humans are creatures of habits and habits are the multiple repetitions of ‘instincts’.

Mind is one, at the same time it has different parts depending on the faculties it triggers during the experience.

So the Mind which tastes is different from the Mind which touches, which again is different from the Mind which smells, from the Mind which sees and the Mind which hears, and so on.
