ADOT proudly supported Breaking Barriers across Refugee Week (19-25 June) to help promote the release of their documentary ‘My (Refugee) Life’.
Breaking Barriers is a registered charity which welcomes refugees into meaningful employment with advice, experience and education. Their mission is to ensure that every refugee can access meaningful employment and build a new life and their innovative partnerships help create more responsible businesses and encourage a change in society for the better.
‘My (Refugee) Life’ takes a look beyond the numbers and behind closed doors to follow five refugees as they navigate temporary accommodation, employment, love, family and education in the UK. The documentary sheds light on many of the misconceptions people have about refugee lives.
ADOT donated valuable screen time in the impressive Now Trending space at Outernet, London – showcasing Breaking Barriers’ bespoke trailer with the purpose to raise awareness and show that there is so much more to individuals than the label ‘refugee’.
ADOT shares a common philosophy with Breaking Barriers, emphasizing the importance of transcending our differences and coming together based on our shared commonalities.
