For the second year running, we are extremely excited and proud to announce that ADOT will be partnering with Centrepoint and their annual Sleep Out event.
Centrepoint work tirelessly for thousands of young homeless people in the UK, and with 80,000 young people facing nights out on the streets each year, the Sleep Out is an important event that helps raise money for these vulnerable young people.
This year on November 7th, 2000 people will be sleeping out on the UK’s streets on nothing but a sheet of cardboard and a sleeping bag to keep warm as they experience what it is like to be homeless for a night. There are Sleep Out events up and down the country, and a host of famous personalities will also be contributing to the events by providing first rate entertainment. Last year, the event attracted performers such as Stooshe and Eliza Doolittle.
ADOT will once again be present at the London events, handing out beanie hats to help those taking part to brave the cold, as well as our signature t-shirts. Long term ADOT supporter, Ocean Wisdom, will also be performing the track “What Do You See?” at the London event this year. This event means so much to ADOT because as well as raising money for a very worthy cause, it also encourages those taking part to understand the nature of homelessness by putting themselves in someone else’s shoes.
