Stars aligned on the 28th November 2022 at the iconic Lyric Theatre in London’s West End for ‘Judy – No Place Like Home’. This one off show aimed to raise vital funds for Centrepoint, the leading charity for homeless young people, and their Independent Living Programme.
Celebrities, including Mica Paris, Gina Beck, Lisa Maxwell and Bonnie Langford, came together to celebrate the life and legacy of Judy Garland, on what would have been her 100th birthday. The star-studded cast, alongside inspirational young people from Centrepoint, performed iconic songs, poetry, and told stories of Judy’s life, with all proceeds going towards helping provide 300 affordable houses for young people, as well as apprenticeships and jobs.
As an LGBTQ+ icon and someone who experienced homelessness, poverty and poor mental health, Judy Garland is a reminder that we are all just humans trying to find a place to belong – happiness is ours if we can just make it Over The Rainbow!
As a long standing supporter of Centrepoint, it has been a pleasure for Adot to continue to support the incredible work of this charity. Here, Adot, in partnership with Outernet London, donated screen time in their state of the art Now Trending space. Judy came to life through a bold and bright teaser advert for ‘No Place Like Home’, helping raise awareness, drive ticket sales and spread the word and amazing work of Centrepoint.
