United Hatzalah of Israel is the largest, independent, non-profit Emergency Medical Service organization in Israel. The fully volunteer run organization provides the fastest emergency medical first response throughout Israel and they do it all for free. They currently have more than 6,000 volunteers around the country who are available 24/7, utilizing GPS technology along with ambucyles to make their response rate to emergencies around 3 minutes across the entire country.
Their mission is to arrive at the scene of medical emergencies as soon as possible and provide those in need with medical aid until an ambulance arrives. They do this regardless of race, religion or national origin resulting in many more lives saved.
Due to the increased need for their services throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, they have developed a fundraising campaign called ”24 in 24”. This campaign aims to raise the daily running costs of the organisation for 24 days.
