Valentine’s Day: Project Love Is One

For Adot and Cards of Care, February 2021 is all about Love.

With Valentine’s Day occurring in the midst of yet another national lockdown, we at Adot wanted to help Cards of Care continue their amazing work and also help spread the message of unity and Love during a time where many feel isolated and alone.

Cards of Care started as a small passion project during the March 2020 lockdown with the aim of spreading kindness to care home residents. Children made personalised cards to remind elderly residents that they are loved and important. We wanted to continue to remind those in residential care that we are constantly sending them love and they are constantly in our thoughts through our Project Love is One collaboration.

Over the past few weeks, Adot and Cards of Care have been in contact with schools, nurseries, individuals and even businesses across the country, to encourage their students and children to get creative and send the love that these elderly care residents need.

We will be sending banners of cards to care homes across the UK, each banner containing thirteen cards. Thirteen is a magic number representing Love and Oneness in Kabbalistic learnings, and with this we aim to show that love is rooted in unity and can only be manifested when we work together to create it. Where there is love, there are miracles and endless hope.

We have been overwhelmed with the response to Project Love is One, as more and more cards have been arriving with the Cards of Care team every day. Due to the ongoing influx of cards, we are going to continue to deliver lovingly made cards, not only on Valentine’s day, but also until the end of February!

We hope that the children’s creativity inspires love and a sense of togetherness to all who receive them.
